THE CHILDREN'S CHORALE
The Huntsville Community Chorus Children’s Chorale is for students in grades 3–5. They learn the basics of healthy vocal techniques and choral skills which enable them to perform together in one- to three-part music sung in a variety of languages. In addition to their two formal concerts each year, the Children’s Chorale performs around the city at events such as Panoply, Santa’s Village, Under the Christmas Tree, change of command ceremonies at Redstone Arsenal, and other community and civic events. They have performed with the HCCA Symphonic Chorus, the Brass Band of Huntsville, and the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra.
The Children’s Chorale rehearses on Mondays at Faith Presbyterian Church at the corner of Whitesburg Drive and Airport Road from 5:00 pm to 6:15 pm. The annual tuition is $125. Financial assistance is available through wonderful grants awarded to the Children’s and Youth Chorales. All children who are interested in singing in a choir are encouraged to come sing, learn, and laugh with us!
The HCCA Children’s Chorale is under the direction of Lea Hoppe.
